The Cambouich barn is perched above the village of Ercé, in the heart of high-altitude pastures on the edge of the forest, facing due south. Located at an altitude of 1200 meters, it offers absolute tranquility. It is accessible via a 3-kilometer mountain path used only by a few farmers. A former cow barn, abandoned due to the steep slopes making mechanization impossible, it has been carefully restored, preserving its granite walls, slate roof, and authentic character. The interior has been furnished in a warm, rustic style to offer maximum comfort.
The view is spectacular, both towards the Garbet valley below and towards Mont Valier and the high peaks of the Haute Ariège. In front of the house is a large garden shed with a barbecue, perfect for enjoying the panorama. At the rear, a natural spring flows year-round into a stone basin, ideal for refreshing oneself after a hike. The house is surrounded by wild and unspoiled nature. Here, the air is clear and the water we drink is pure and comes directly from our mountain.
