Connect to the village website, which is very well done. You'll find plenty of explanations and photos there:
I'd like to add a little personal comment:
Our pretty little village, like many mountain villages, has lost a good portion of its inhabitants. Especially among the older families who head to the big cities and only return once they retire. Fortunately, since COVID and remote working, a new population is settling in. Added to this is a population of new rural residents who live on site with small businesses and survive thanks to the many forms of assistance available to them. They enjoy the quality of nature.
Our village is also made up of our three businesses that keep it alive. Go see them. They're waiting for you.
- Our grocery store: Le Comptoir du Garbet.
It has a good stock of local products as well as all basic needs. It is expertly run by its owner, Jessica, who demonstrates great kindness and professionalism. You can also enjoy the terrace for a coffee or a drink.
- Our mechanic: whose skill, speed, and honesty have earned him a reputation throughout the region.
- Our 7 Familles restaurant offers excellent value for money. Take advantage of their Thursday night pizzas and the proximity to our cottages to dine there. The welcome is always very warm.
- The town hall: If you need anything else, go to the town hall. You won't have to wait in line like in big cities or search for the right department. The office is open from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., Monday to Friday, and the secretary will go out of her way to help you.
